On August 9th, the Diocese of Alabama will offer the annual Jonathan Daniels Pilgrimage, which commemorates the martyrdom of Episcopal seminarian Jonathan Daniels, as well as the other martyrs of the civil rights movement in Alabama. The Rev. Emily Collette will be coordinating a group from Ascension to attend the pilgrimage and worship service, with the Rt. Rev. Michael Curry preaching. This is a powerful experience and a chance for us to grapple with our past and look forward in hope. The event in Hayneville will last from 11 am to 2 pm.
